Office of the First Lady visits Kayec #BreakFree

Edmund Khoaseb & Esther Nantana from the Office of the First Lady (FLON) visited Kayec trainees to create awareness on the #BreakFree #BeFree campaign which was started by the First lady Monica Geingos in 2017.
The campaign is aimed at helping survivors of violent crimes. To believe and support women, children and men who have experienced any form of violence and to encourage a culture of reporting violence, to stop the vicious cycle of violence.
At this occasion, about 200 Kayec trainees also signed an anti-violent pledge. By signing this pledge individuals are promising to influence the society for a better violent free country and to be part of building a non-violent society.
According Khoaseb FlON’s aim is to get 100 thousand signatures throughout the country. Stating, “building a non-violent society starts with one person at a time, reducing the number of violent incidences requires a broad societal change”.
