Rundu, Kavango Region – KAYEC Rundu Centre is pleased to announce a generous donation of N$330,000.00 from the First Rand Foundation Namibia. This significant contribution will fund educational programs aimed at raising awareness about teenage pregnancy as well as support youth academically, among in-school youth, as well as out of school youth in the Kavango East Region.
Teenage pregnancy is a pressing issue in our communities, and this initiative seeks to empower young people with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and futures. Through workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions, KAYEC will provide vital information about reproductive health, life skills, and the social implications of teenage pregnancy.
“We are incredibly grateful to the First Rand Foundation Namibia for their support. This donation will allow us to reach more youth in the Kavango East Region and provide them with the necessary tools to navigate their adolescent years safely and responsibly,” said Anton Kamerika, Youth Officer at KAYEC Rundu Centre.
The funds will be utilized for the development and implementation of an evidence-based curriculum tailored to the needs of our youth. KAYEC remains committed to fostering a supportive environment where young people can thrive and make positive life choices, with sponsors such as FNB on board.
