THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE KAYEC STAFF

Martinus Pontu Succes, a Grade 7 learner at Paradise Private School who joined the KDY program in February 2023, says “The best good parts of KAYEC during the year was the camping, sports, lessons, and fun days we had during the years”. ‘I like camping, because we went to a lodge outside of town, and it was for free, the only thing I needed to do was to be a good attendee in the program, good behavior, and be hardworking. I also like sports every Thursday; we play soccer and many fun games with other children while we get to know each other, I like that when I get hurt I do not like emotional pain, which can make me cry. I like lessons because some lessons help me with my school performance. Eating at KAYEC is also my favorite thing to do and camping.

Dantago Willy Geingob joined KAYEC in 2017, when he was in Grade 7. “KAYEC has helped me in so many ways. Staff are always willing to help, and we have extra-mural activities that help us expand our knowledge. I completed my Grade 11 last year and obtained 26 points. I got accepted at NUST to study a bachelor’s degree in English and Logistics through the assistance of the KAYEC Office. I just want to extend my gratitude to B2Gold for reaching this far without their support towards my education”.

I am Sylvia Shigwedha, and I would like to express my interest in studying at Kayec Trust last year, as from March to 31 August 2018.

I am thankful for the coarse I did last year for six months. The Early Childhood Development course. I completed it and got a certificate. It has helped me so much and I have learned so much! I was still able to achieve something even at my age. Kayec has taught me it does not matter who you are or how old you are, there is always the opportunity to grow and learn. Because of Kayec’s help, this year (2019), I got admitted at Namcol college to work with Early Childhood Development. Which is level 5.

I just want to encourage those that are willing to learn even more at whatever age to just pick up a course at Kayec. It has truly changed my life. Amazing! You will learn so much in such a short time.

Like they say, “No one is too old to learn and education is the key to so many opportunities in life,” so do not waste your time and take the chance to learn something new. Everyday.

Yours in education,
Sylvia N. Shigwedha

I must start off by admitting that I was quite skeptical about the idea of enrolling myself at Kayec. I walked in the premises of kayec Trust on the 4th of September 2017 and for the first two weeks; I could not help but wonder if I actually made the right decision.

I had a vision and was heavy on a mission. Kayec soon eliminated all my doubts, with their unique set up on how they conduct their training and I was ready to take advantage of the time I had left.

I was amazed by the dedication of the instructors and the attention they gave to each of their trainees while keeping a professional boundary.

If it was not for their strict rules, value driven instructors that wanted nothing but to deliver their best, I would have given up long before I was elected as a member of the Trainees Representative Council (TRC) which boosted my confidence and added to my leadership skills.

Kayec has helped me stay motivated on my goals and vision up until the end of my training. The fact that the training is completed in a period of 6 months developed an edge of furthering my training and I enrolled myself at WVTC. I was soon fortunate enough to get a three-year apprenticeship contract while only in my first year at WVTC all thanks to Kayec.

I am glad I took the first step which was enrolling myself at kayec and will always be appreciative of all the staff members of kayec and the doors kayec has opened for me.
