KAYEC Youth Development Program (KYD)
The KAYEC Youth Development Program is a safe address to support children and youth as well as to take them to various activities apart from school to get a good headstart for growing up and future careers. While the KYD focuses on professionally helping young ones with school work, exam preparations and different approaches to learning on the one hand, building up a self-confident, reflected and strong personality through various outdoor, creative or inspirational activities is just as important on the other hand.
Experienced youth officers and dedicated volunteers do their best to make the participants flourish and find a good place for them in society. With these efforts, even children who are experiencing difficult living conditions or are at a disadvantage because of their overall situation get the chance to improve their life with the help of KYD. Also, a lot of participants use their chance to connect to their peers, so friendships are being built – another important aspect in order to built up a stable environment to grow.

The Scouts of Namibia is a dynamic and inclusive organisation dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders through adventurous and educational experiences. With a rich history spanning decades, they empower young people to develop essential life skills, character, and a strong sense of responsibility. Our Rundu Centre is registered with SoN with 60 members in the program.
