With the support of B2Gold, KAYEC builds self-esteem, leadership and resilience in girls age 10 to 18. Youth visit our centre in Otjiwarongo after school to receive english, mathematics and home support. In addition, they learn drama, public speaking and traditional dancing. Some organizations invite our cultural troupe for performances in events.

Christophine Konrad learning how to do a rebate joint. She is 21 years on from Ongenga in Northern Namibia. She wants to start her own business making cupboards, jewellery boxes and chairs for her community.

Plumbing trainees learning an additional key skill, when repairing underground pipes. Plumbers need to remove interlocks to repair leakages and set back the interlocks after completing the work.  

On the 11 September 2018,  learners from 8 schools in Otjiwarongo participated in a Quiz Festival at the Swanevelder Hall. The schools that attended are: Secondary Donatus Secondary school Paresis Secondary Monica Geingos junior secondary school Otjiwarongo Secondary School Primary Orwetoveni Primary School Karundu Primary School Donatus Primary school Tsaraxa Aibes Primary School Each school nominated 2
